Newperran

NEWSLETTER 2008

We wish to thank all our regular and new customers who came to Newperran in 2007 and are delighted to tell you that we have now been awarded 5 Stars from Visit Britain Assessment, their highest accolade.

All your comments were noted and parents will be pleased that we have designed the new Kerrier toilet block for a family room with a built in baby bath. We did not add a bath in the previous refurbished blocks as Health & Safety advised us that the only shower block safe enough would be the shower block that is near to the main infastructure in case of an emergency. Either myself, Keith, shop, café or bar staff would be able to get there in a better response time if some one need our help.

Our brand new open air heated deck level swimming pool is larger. The pool will also be enclosed to help keep the wind chill factor to a minimum and with our new gas boiler system, the pool will be heated much better for your comfort and pleasure.

We have now developed the Allet and Cubert fields into hard standing to take brand new static caravans which are for sale. If any one is interested please call our selling agents Clas 1 Tel: 0845 833 8909. www.clas1.com or call Keith or Christine at Newperran for further information.

The crazy golf has now been removed and a new one will be introduced at a later date.

Don’t forget, we have two large fields to play games (Holding area and Lamorna field), to fly kites and let your dogs run free. A lot of customers did not realise these fields were accessible in 2007. See site map for location.

We have now developed a new area for standard camping (large grass pitches) called the Mullion Field. This field is also used for caravan storage. If you are interested to store your caravan, please call Keith or Christine for further information.

In the Cottage Inn, there was a lot of confusion with some parents that it was advertised as a family pub, children etc, but parents were not happy when I would not allow children to be running around recklessly. The Cottage Inn does welcome families, but as licensee, I have to maintain rules and one of them is not to have children running around like in a play group. Apart from the safety factor of the children hurting themselves, I have to protect the staff from children running into them, especially when we are busy and the staff carrying drinking glasses. The consequences of a glass smashing onto a child’s head does not bear thinking about.

Most of our customers are aware, but for those of you who are not. Newperran will be hosting a Nudefest 2008 Event organised by the British Naturist Society. We are a large enough park for nudist to have their own field and own shower block. Textiles, as you and I are known, will not have access to these areas so therefore do not have any worry about seeing anything you don’t want too. We will only take bona fida naturist groups who book in advance who will be vetted. No one can just arrive and decide to be a nudist, it does not work that way. The British Naturist are a very respectable institution and we hold them in high regard. Nudefest 2007 was a great event that was held 22 June 2007. For more information on this please take a look at www.british-naturisum.co.uk and look for Nudefest 2007. They have booked for June 2008 and we are very much looking forward to having them back. The Garden of Eden was part of the Nudefest. Thanks to Ian Parkinson, the manager of Alton Towers who highly recommended them too. Well done British Naturism.

Our very own Television Celebrity. Keep an eye out in the New Year for Christine on The Weakest Link, so much fun. So from now on, when Christine’s stress levels get too much at reception, she can say them famous words "I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here".

We look forward to 2008 and all the new changes which will make the park even better and thanks again to everyone who stayed at Newperran in 2007, a big thank you to those of you that have already booked for 2009, 2010, 2011 and even 2012.
