| Out and About in Cornwall
. . . |
| Summer in Cornwall is a time for local
and traditional celebrations. Most villages have flower
or music festivals and the towns have spectacular regatta
or carnival weeks. The Minack open-air theatre at Porthcurno
has performances throughout the summer and the Tate Gallery
at St. Ives has frequently changing exhibitions. |
| Truro, our beautiful old cathedral
city, with its cobbled streets and excellent shopping
centre is also well worth a visit, and is only fifteen
minutes away by car. |
| For the youngsters there are many
theme parks ranging from the historical to the just thrilling!
|
| The Eden Project opened in Spring
2001. A giant 50m deep crater, large enough for thirty-five
football pitches houses two gigantic biospheres, the largest
in the world. Home to thousands of plants, from tropical
rainforests to warm temperate zones. This is one of the
most inspired and exciting projects Cornwall has ever
seen. |
